Intrepid Canvas was created to offer portable studios for people of all ages. Our mission is to promote physical movement and artistic expression in the form of dance, visual and performing arts and fitness using temporary creative spaces. We embrace diverse and universal access, the use of technology and the ability to make each space your very own.
Creative spaces and those supporting dance training are traditionally designed for dedicated use, like a studio, gym or auditorium. As more and more content is being rapidly generated and shared online to support individual dance or fitness goals and self propelled creative development, we find ourselves vying for use of smaller, more immediately available spaces. There is a growing need for shared use of spaces to accommodate this shift.
At Intrepid Canvas we are making it easier for you to meet this challenge. We leverage in home studio and fitness equipment, along with streaming tools to create a personalized portable canvas that fits your dance, fitness and creative needs.
Fleur Leslie
Fleur is a graduate of Canada’s National Ballet School professional dance program. After graduation, she went on to become a professional ballerina, dancing with companies in Canada and England.
Inspired by the explosion of dance programming to much broader groups, Fleur saw that for remote dancers, there remained a gap. They didn’t always have optimal spaces for practice. Her goal is to curate high quality portable dance equipment from top manufacturers. Her aim is to make it easy and convenient for dancers of all types to set up and dance wherever they are.
